W.M. Pradeep Kumara (Founder)
As founder, Kumara is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the CGI Lanka well as overseeing day-to-day operations, project support, and technical initiatives. Kumara has over 16 years of experience in Manufacturing. He stays current on leading edge technologies to offer the latest in manufacturing capabilities to CGI Lanka customers.
Prior to founding the CGI Lanka, Kumara served as Plant manager of Manufacturing of washing machine largest injection molding facility at SINGER. Kumara was responsible for all manufacturing and supporting lean manufacturing initiatives. Previously, Kumara was a Factory manager at Ceylon Pencil and supported all New Products and introduce Atlas Chooty pen and Atlas books ranges focusing with cost effective manufacturing strategy. Prior to his position at Ceylon Pencil, Kumara was a Design Engineer at Multi Molds for design very complicate mods for Audi and BMW car models. And supporting all high-volume, final assembly and Sub-assembly workstation products. Kumara interacted with design, engineering and was responsible for a large group of engineers who supported New Product Introductions and all daily manufacturing line support activities.
Kumara graduated from the University of Moratuwa in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. And successfully completed a Master of Science in Energy engineering at KTH University..
